Indian Oil Corporation is an Indian public-sector petroleum company. It began operation in 1959 as Indian Oil Company Ltd. It is largest commercial enterprise in india, ranking 105th on the Fortune Global 500 listing (2009). The Indian Oil Corporation was formed in 1964.

Applications are invited for the position of Engineers/ Gradute Apprentice Engineers ( GAEs ) in the following engineering disciplines:

* Chemical Engineers
* Chemical Engineering (Including Petrochemicals engineering)
* Civil Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Instrumentation Engineering (Including Electronics & Instrumentation engineering but excluding Electronics & Communication engineering/ Telecommunication engineering)
* Mechanical Engineering (excluding Production/ Manufacturing/ Industrial engineering)
* Metallurgical Engineering

Educational qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Candidates must have passed the qualifying degree examination and awarded the Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in the above disciplines (full-time regular courses only) from recognized Indian universities / institutes.
Candidates (belonging to General and OBC category) should have secured minimum 65% marks in the qualifying final exam. It is relaxing with a “pass class” for SC / ST / PH candidates.
Candidates are now in the final year of their technical studies may also apply. But if selected, they must be able to submit their final mark sheet on July 31, 2010.
Age limit

For General Categories Candidates: Maximum 26 years as on 30th June, 2010.
For OBC /SC/ST/PH candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directive.
