(A) DATES OF REPORTING FOR ADMISSION: As per directions of CCB (16 – 24 July 2009)
(B) PLACE OF REPORTING FOR ADMISSION ONLY FOR BIT DEOGHAR: Candidates selected for B.E. at BIT Deoghar must report at BIT Mesra, Ranchi – 835215, during 16-24 July 2009, only for completing their admission formalities, that is for deposition of their fees and required documents (for 2009 admissions only). This is in view of the large number of pilgrims expected at Deoghar during the Shrawan Mela in July-August 2009.

(D) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates admitted to B.E. at BIT Mesra, BIT Patna and BIT Deoghar must satisfy the following eligibility criteria for age and performance in Class 12. 1. Maximum age limit for admission is 21 years as on 01.10.2009 (26 years for
SC/ST candidates) 2. Candidates for B.E. programme must have passed in English, Physics,
Mathematics and other 2 subjects as per AIEEE norms in Class 12 / I. Sc. or equivalent examination, with minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks. Marks in Class 12 to be computed as average of best 5 subjects including English, Physics, Mathematics and other 2 subjects as per AIEEE norms.
Candidates admitted to B.Arch. at BIT Mesra must satisfy the following Eligibility criteria for age and performance in Class 12.
1. Maximum age limit for admission is 21 years as on 01.10.2009 (26 years for SC/ST candidates)

2. Candidates for B.Arch. programme must have passed in English and

Mathematics, and other 3 subjects as per AIEEE norms in Class 12 / I. Sc. or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST). Marks in Class 12 to be computed as average of best 5 subjects including English, Mathematics and other 3 subjects as per AIEEE norms.

(E) FEES (for details of fees, please see website) Net Fees to be deposited at the time of admission (including Semester fee +University Enrollment fee + mess deposit + caution money) as below
1. For B. Arch: Rs. 43,500/- by crossed Demand Draft in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi
2. For B.E.: Rs. 42,000/- by crossed Demand Draft in favour of Birla InstitutTechnology, payable at Ranchi for admission at Mesra payable at Patna for admission at Patna payable at Deoghar for admission at Deoghar

(F) DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REPORTING FOR ADMISSION
a) Admit Card and Rank Card of AIEEE 2009
b) Admission Letter
c) Pass Certificate of Class 10
d) Mark Sheet of Class 10
e) Mark Sheet of Class 12
f) Pass Certificate of Class 12
g) Caste Certificate (if applicable) in proper format signed by
appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO
h) PH Category Certificate (if applicable) in proper format, as given by CCB, from a Civil Surgeon and issued after 1 January 2009
i) School / College Leaving Certificate
j) Migration Certificate
k) 2 recent passport size photographs
l) Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 42,000/- for B.E. and Rs. 43,500/- for
B. Arch in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology” payable at the respective city (as above).
